I"M HAPPY (for now)
I"M ABOUT TO GET TO SOME CLEANING---yippee--can you see the excotement in my typing...oh look i can change it can't I?

OK, enough goofing off for one post. I really need to go look for something inspirational to put in the other post...sorry been slacking on that end
Let's see the kids principal at the school always ends the morning announcements as follows:

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY OR NOT, THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Still on the fence as to whether I like it or not, but how about any other thoughts on it. I'd like to hear what others have to think about it.

I think it's GREAT!! It's always good to point out that we DO have a choice - we can choose to be miserable or we can choose to make the best of things!!

We are headed into the deep freeze over the 6-7 days with single digits for highs (and possibly a high of 2 below zero on Saturday ) and below zero for lows (lows of single digits, with chance of teens below zero on Saturday and maybe Sunday nights) BRRRRR! After all that warm weather through December and January, winter has definitely come to Wisconsin!!!

Congrats, Kaiti, on one month sober!

Welcome to the forum, Christina! Always nice to "see" a new face around here. Congrats on 7 years clean and sober.

Just to tell a little about myself - I quit smoking cigarettes in December 1995 and I quit drinking in June 1998. Didn't use other drugs (thank goodness). I've been living with manic-depression (Bipolar Disorder) and Social Anxiety Disorder for 35+ years, and I've been coping with OCD/hoarding in the past 20-25 years - among various other mental/emotional issues.

Hope all will have a peaceful, addiction free day!

there is so much I still don't think about sometimes, and I am a very impulsive person. When it comes to the choice of things, sometimes I jump before the whistles blow BUT what you say is definately true. We need to hold ourselves accountable for our well being, and that includes the choices we make.

Teddy congratulations on the smoke and booze free time. I'm taking it one stress at a time for now. Opps, I mean step
