Default Sunday Roll call

Well, thanks Teddy for yesterday's roll call......got a little busy, then busier, then for some odd reason, busier yet......and for some reason, it all fell into place and wasn't stressfull. I love reading your thoughts for the day.

I used to spend hours reading through the 13th edition of Familiar Quotations-John Bartlett. I think you have inspired me to do such again.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Have a great day all
Kaiti

Thumbs up Hello again, Kaiti -

It's a pleasure to 'see' you here today!!

I'm glad you enjoy the readings I post. Daily meditations have almost always given me something worthwhile to think about - and I 've learned quite a bit about myself in the process. That's why I like to share them with others - just in case they might benefit similarly!!

I love quotes too, but I've never read the entire Bartlett's Familiar Quotations before.

Here's another reading -- it's extremely appropriate for me right now --

Get ok

One way to lower your stress level is to get away from it all. Another way is to get ok with it all.

Stress becomes more stressful the more you fight against it. Keep in mind, though, that you don't have to fight it.

You can actually choose to welcome and accept whatever is going on. As soon as you do, you put yourself in a position of power and control.

By accepting the stressful situation instead of running away or fighting, you give yourself more positive options. You become able to make use of whatever is going on and to direct it toward a worthwhile purpose.

Accepting the presence of a difficult situation does not mean that you're in favor of it having it continue. It means that you're ready to clearly see and deal with reality.

Instead of making the stress worse by fighting it, step calmly and confidently forward to make the best of it. Choose not to let it get to you, and you'll be able to accomplish so very much more.

-- Ralph Marston

OOPS - gotta run - meeting a friend for brunch!

Have a peaceful day!

Hi Kaiti & Teddie. It's a grey and drizzly day here, but I'm sober and that's what counts. My kittie cats are giving me extra attention today. Now it's almost their dinner time so they are exceptionall affectionate.

Kaiti - I don't think I can attach the organ website on the forum but here is the link: http://nyago.org/Organs/Bklyn/html/StMichaelGerRC.html
The organ is stillo playable but is in need of extensive (and expensive) repairs. I guess I have to win the Lottery. The organ will be 70 years old this year and I guess everyone thaqt age has "breathing" problems and sticky valves.

Have a great day
Citoig

PS: I'm the "Robert Holmes" mentioned on the webpage
