Default Almost Friday Roll Calling

OK, SINCE IT'S NOT FRIDAY BUT WE ALL LIKE TO HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO.....IT'S ALMOST FRIDAY. WORK WEEK IS ALMOST DONE, WELL FOR THOSE OF US THAT CAN LEAVE WORK AT WORK.......BUT SINCE I HAVE 2 KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 13, I GUESS MY JOB IS NEVER DONE......AT LEAST FOR THE NEXT 5 + YEARS.

Have a blessed day and hold strong (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))
Kaiti
heard a line the other day on a commercial. If I am wrong, please correct me. "You aren't losers, you just don't know how to be winners yet." Or something to that effect. Like I said, if it is wrong, let me know and let me know where it came from.....I think it was the movie Gridiron, but not 100%.

Hi Kaiti and any who follow. Well, I'm retired so the days of the week make no difference. For many years I longed for Fridays and Saturday when I could sleep late. Now I can sleep late or get up early (8 AM ) whichever pleases me. I've earned my leisure.

Leisure isn't the only thing in my life, though. I get together with a friend who lives in the same building and drive him to his medical appointments and shopping. (I have a car and he doesn't.) We then go to a restaurant or the diner for late lunch.

Sobriety is great! I could not have lived long enough to enjoy retirement if I was still drinking. I would have died 30 years ago. I am grateful to my Higher Power and AA for everything I have today.

A happy Friday to all of you who still have to work. Motherhood is not work; it is giving one's life and love to children. It is a special calling from God.

Hello Kaiti, Citoig and all who follow! A kind of dreary day here in Michigan, but that's usually the way it is in winter here.

Kaiti ~ It's nice to meet you! I haven't been around of quite awhile, but I used to post here all the time! Citoig and I go wayyyy back, don't we Citoig? LOL. Anyway Kaiti, bless your heart for working and ALSO having to care for 2 kids!!! Your work is NEVER done! My 2 kids are both grown, but now it seems they've both moved back home. Good grief. Don't take this the wrong way because I love them both, but I doubt I'll ever get rid of them! lol. Thank God I've been sober for a good while, or I'd have started drinking over this! My Higher Power and the Big Book keep me sober.

Citoig ~ So good to see you posting still! I should be shot for not posting more often, but for awhile my daughter had to commandeer my monitor. Her's bit the dust and since she's in college, her papers & "homework" must be done on computer so she had to take my monitor. Finally, she got one of her own!!! Plus I've been in physical therapy for quite awhile, and after I get out of there, the last thing I've wanted to do is SIT in front of a computer!!! Those people (at therapy) surely can make a person HURT!!! But I know it's for my own good ~ I think???? I'm glad to hear you're ok and still getting out and about. I hope your friend is doing well ~ a while back I seem to remember your saying that you were concerned about his health. Just make sure you take good care of YOU!

Hope all have a great day. Isn't this a grand day to be sober??? EVERY day is a good day when you're not drunk/high!!! I can still remember my last drunk, and it gives me the shivers ~ I hope I NEVER forget it!!! God bless everyone! Love, Lee

Great to see you, Lee. I am at fault too; I should have e-mailed you. We'v had "real winter" weather for the past couple of days. It's been cold but clear and I guess the chill feels good. The warm weather in December was "unnatural". I am NOT one of those global warming kooks; I just don't believe it. The earth's climate just goes through these cycles.

Have a great day.
