My son who is 23 has suffered depression for a number of years. During that time he has taught himself guitar and piano and seems slowly to be coming back to me.
He has started college and has a girlfriend.. something i never thought i would see.. so there is hope where none existed before I will post some of his work at a later date if anyone would be interested |

Thru music, art or written words....some can find a way to feel better.
I know when I'm painting I sometimes feel good. Its good your son has found something that helps his depression. Please share his artwork with all of us....like the old saying "Different strokes for different folks"! Rings true around here since all our taste are different. What blings for one, doesn't do it for another! Thats why its fun to see others work. Blessings, cheryl

Coffeeholic,
Hi there. It's nice to see a father so interested in his son. I, too, have had bouts of depression and know from experience that my artwork can bring a ray of hope and sunshine into my life. I paint and sculpt and also dab in some poetry. I would love to see some of you son's artwork. Doodles |

I'd love to see some art as well. If you have any audio files to share, please do. I personally think that any kind of artistic expression is not only therapy for the performer/artist, but it also touches some others in ways to pull positive aspects in life.
As was said already, different strokes for different folks. I couldn't agree more. If a rainbow didn't have as many colors as it has, it wouldn't be as wonderous and beautiful. |
