Default Free gift to my BT friends.

Here's another watercoloring I painted recently.
This ones a Christmas one, Red Poinsettia.
They grow wild in tropical and mild climates.
My gift to any of you who suffer pain both physical and/or emotional.
Feel free to download it...use it to make a Christmas cards, letter head or frame it for yourself...enjoy! Cheryl
PS....if you download it, print it on better paper....decorate it with a little red and gold glitter!
It would look nice with red and green matting darker frame, or white matting with a red frame. Can find frames for cheep, then paint it.
If you'd like to purchase this original please PM me.

It is beautiful Cheryl. Only one thing I would change. You know of course i prefer oil to watercolor. In my first class many years ago the instructor taught many different things in the 8 week or so class. One was pen and ink (I think that is what it was called) and it was also done with the oil but washed down with the turp. I always wanted mine to have the brighter color so had a hard time toning it down using just a bit of the turp.

Of course if I could change things I'd still be painting, lol. If I had started out with watercolor I might stil be painting. It takes the paint such a long time to dry with oil. But that is what I started with and as it was a little expensive to buy the brushes, etc even with a discount for the class, for me back in the 70's and not working, it seemed like it cost a fortune!

It is more expensive but I still do have some of the originial oils I bought back in the 70's. I took care of those tubes even through the years I could not paint by periodically getting the tubes out and opening them and checking for holes etc.

But that sure is one beautiful poinsettia and I love the way you have done the lighter shading of other leaves around it! KEEP PAINTING.
