Wink Wednesday roll call

HEY - WHERE IS EVERYBODY??

Is everybody out Christmas shopping, or what??

I've had some doctor appointments this week and so far everything looks good. My blood pressure is down (102/66) and so is my weight. I've lost 16 pounds since my last visit which was two months ago. Not a HUGE drop, but it's good enough for me (and my doctor too - ) At least it's going down instead of up! LOL

We've been pretty spoiled here the past week or more with WONDERFULLY warm weather (50's - 60's) - but that came to screeching halt today! BRRR! Last night at this time it was 50+ degrees - tonight it's already down to 25 degrees - heading to 15!!!! But no snow coming up soon, so I'm not going to complain (much) about the cold! lol I'll just put a sweater on under my coat and keep going! .

Hi Teddie, thanks for the heads-up on the weather. It's beern mild here too but I guess all good things have to come to an end. I haven't been doing very much of anything. My friend, John has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. So I'll drive him to the medical center and we will have lunch/dinner afterward. John needs to get out even if it's only to the doctor. He has a roommate who can (and often is) a real pain in the arse.

One of the pluses of not having much contact with my brother and his family is that I don't have to do any Christmas shopping. So I haven't had to get caught up in that frenzy for many years now. While I don't think of myself as a "Scrooge", the commercialism of the holidays really turns me off. I can meditate on the true meaning of the birth of Jesus and be content to sit on the warm sofa and enjoy the unconditional love of my two cats.

Well, have a great Thursday.
