Default Rock houses.

I love to craft, paint, sew, cook, decorate and make huge messes!
These give me a lot of pleasure and takes my mind off my pain.
Here's a rock I painted while in the hospital during a crohns flare.
A doctor saw it in the 1st stage when I paint it white on the sides and brown on the top. He was filling in for my regualar doctor, Dr Chin, he just couldn't understand why I was painting a rock. He noted this in my MEDICAL chart that he found it very odd that I was painting a rock. Too funny!
He never got to see the finished rock house...I'll bet he's still scratching his head! I've been rock paiting 35 years now...always find a good rock when camping...gives me something to do.
Anyone else like to do rock paintings?
Blessings, Cheryl

I paint rock houses also. Very similar to yours. I gave one to a little friend of mine, three years old, and she takes it to bed with her, ionstead of a teddy bear. I also paint just about anything that takes my mood, all sizes from miniature, to large canvases.

I think your painted rocks are fabulous! You have a real gift and obviously love it since you've done it for so long. I try to craft, am not particularly talented at anything but have fun with it! Actually, it is a pretty healthy outlet for me and I love it!
I received a painted piece of cement for Christmas. Sort of along the lines of your rock homes. It is actually a piece of garden edging that has been painted with our home and name and is finished for weather resistance. It has sat on our deck all summer and is still good as new. I am putting it here....hope you enjoy seeing it. Let me know what you think! bon

I paint Rocks but you... You Paint rocks. Your work is great. I think that come Xmas you should wrap one up as fancy as you can with some elaborate fabric bow. Then give it to the doc. My kids love to paint rocks as well. One day we had a few neighbor kids come over and we all sat and painted rocks. They look great around the flowers. Best to you. Heidi

Talking They are so beautiful!

Cheryl,
I haven't posted to you in awhile. I saw the post and took a peek. I love your art. I guess I never thought about painting rocks. People around here a lot of times painht old saw blades. I have never tried that. I sti8ll do the water colors but I get frustrated that I am shaking and have trouble with the little detail. I guess I need to give up that perfectionist side .

Painting or any other type of artistic expression can be so calming and soothing. I tend to forget all of my problems. Does that happen to you? Keep it up! You are a truely gifted person and I am not just talking about your paintings, you are gifted also at being a wonderful friend that always seems to have the righjt words to say!

Dreaming Big and Reaching for the Stars! Love Javi

Cheryl,
I have not been so delighted with art in so long. Thank you for returning that to my heart. now I see why it relaxes you and helps you through the hard times you go deep inside yourself to focuse on you dreeams of art to be seen by others. that is at leaset how my foster brother use to exsplain it to be yrs ago. He was an artist also. Thank You so much for shareing you gift with us and the way it has helped you along maybe now I will finally use art to free myself (I am in NO way gifted as you ) but just mearly the art of painting will give me that release of my mind and pain for a bit of time like my foster brother use to try and help me understand also. Again I cannt tell you how much I thank you for your gift of shareing as well as your wonderful gift in art. may God bless you greatly VIVIAZ (diane)

Cheryl,
Your rock house is beautiful. I have only painted flowers on rocks to stick in the rock garden. I never heard of rock houses. What a beautiful addition they would be. Thank you for sharing them, but mostly for the inspiration.
