Default OT: I fell yesterday

Hi all, I slipped and fell yesterday. Was walking to the kitchen and the girls had water or toys on the floor i didn't see and step on and down i went. twisted my stump and landed on my back. I'm ok just in lots of pain. If still hurting tomorrow i'm going to call the doctor. When my mom asked the girls how they felt about me falling they replied how are we going to get to school monay. lol it scared them at first then they just wanted to know how they were getting to the school. when i fall with my back the way it is it;s like getting run over by a freight train. lol

take care
Bea

Hi Bea,
I'm really sorry to hear about your fall. I hope you're alright there. Do go to the doctor if you're in pain.
I had a dreadful fall on the stairs a couple of years ago and it was a real set-back.

Feel better fast,
Lara

I just fell about 2 wks ago too (being clumsy) and still hurt from it. I keep thinking, I fell all the time as a kid, I don't remember it being like this! I fell, it hurt, I got up, fell some more later. No biggie, just another day.

I was so pissed too, cause dh came in, helped me up, he helped me into the kitchen then started trying to not let himself laugh...then...the worst part I started laughing when I didn't want to. He reminded me of all the times he fell and got hurt and I laughed my arse off.

I hope you feel better soon. I dunno what it is about falling as an adult, it's like we try to fight the fall where as kids just 'accept' it and go down. Doncha just love how kids are all concerned about how your pain will effect them, their lives, yeesh. Yeah mommy's ok, thanks for asking!

I hope you feel better soon.
(((hugs)))

Oh man Bea I hope you're ok and not in too much pain. I'm sorry to hear you fell so hard. I bet it was really bad too since you didn't know the floor was wet...best of luck on your speedy recovery. (((((hugs)))))
