Default It's Saturday, Where Is Everybody?

COME OUT, COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE.

Boy, everybody seems to be hiding. Will all you "lurkers" please check in and say something?

The weather here is really beginning to feel like mid-Autumn. The sun is shining but it is chilly. The storms of the past week have blown most of the leaves down. Soon the trees will be bare and grey.

What does this discussion have to do with sobriety? Well for me, I don't have to worry about being snowed in and not having any booze in the house. Nor do I have to worry that there is no food in the house or look over my shoulder when driving, hoping the cops don't catch me driving drunk.

I guess that what I'm trying to say is that there is one word that describes my life today -GRATITUDE

Let's hear from y'all. Have a great day.
Citoig

Default Batsinwonderland reporting in...

I have been staying with my sponcee to help her take care of her 2 year old and help her as she recovers from cervical fusion of 5-6. My car was in the shop for 6 weeks getting a transmission, so my trips home were limited. Her computer is dialup and she doesn't have call waiting...so I have been offline for a bit. All is well now. My car was returned to me at 530 yesterday and I am online at work. I am having fun with my dramatic weight loss. Did I tell you all that I had gastric bypass surgery? Well, I have gone from 275 pre op August 14th to 217 today. I am 5'10" and a large boned woman, so my goal is 170. 58 down, 43 to go...I have so much energy now. I can dance like I haven't been able to since my 20's. I feel like my outsides match my insides now. I continue to work a program of recovery by doing service work. I will be going to the women's prison next Sunday to bring in a NA meeting. I call my sponsor regularly. It is she I will be going to the prison with...I take her suggestions. Life is good today. I don't live in fear anymore. I trust my HP with those things I am powerless over. What a relief!

Wink Hi Citoig and batsinwonderland

Bats - congratulations on your dramatic weight loss! I've been dieting and have lost 10 pounds - which doesn't sound like much when considering your 58 pound loss - but at least I'm going in the right direction for a change!! lol

Citoig - we've been having a little warmer temps the last day or so, and now they say would could come close to 70 degrees on Wednesday -- go figure!

Nice to see both of you....

Have a peaceful eveing.......
