Red face Hi to all-New here

My name is Karen and I ran across this forum and have been reading the post. It seems like a nice place to talk to others who know where you are coming from. I have chronic daily headaches and migraines . Looking forward to being a part of this forum and learning possible new treatment options and hopefully offer support to others

Hey, Karen.

Welcome to BT! I hope you find the friendship, comfort, and valuable info that I have here over the past 4 1/2 years.

I was struck by your post because you didn't mention getting an MRI. If you haven't had one, I would insist on it. Severe, frequent head pain can be due to a number of things, and many are treatable.

Hang in, and good luck!

LIZARD

Hi Karen,

WElcome!!

Sorry to hear about the daily headaches! Do you know why? I agree with Lizard, if you don't know why, an MRI is invaluable!!

Good luck to you!! Hope to hear from you again soon!!

Take care,
Linda

Thanks for the responses. I have had all the test done and been tried on most preventives with little results. The only thing that was helpful was oxycontin, but my body was not able to tolerate the side effects. My current doctor at the headache center in georgia referred me to the Michigan headache and pain clincic. Don't think will be doing it as do not have insurance coverage for it. One day at a time. He is trying to get approval for the botox, hopefully they will cover a trial of that.
Have a good day
Karen

So sorry Karen that you don't have insurance. It's a shame that so many don't have insurance and that it's so expensive without it. It would have been great if you could have gone to the pain clinic. They would probably have been able to help you alot.
I hope that you will be able to find help here as I have found alot of help on this forum.
Take care and hope pain free days for you.
Linda
