Default Gastroparesis and Constipation

I just now got a chance to read all the posts on the thread i started on constipation. I was in the hospital last week and i didn't get over here. Thanks for all the great pointers.

Anyway, as i have suspected for a while, I have both gastroparesis and Constipation secondary to avinza medication. Googling suggests that what is good for constipation is all wrong for gastroparesis and what is good for the gastro is wrong forthe constipation. Eg: flax seed will make the gastroparesis worse. I can't b the only one with this problem. How do u handle this?

I am starting reglan today so i hope that will help. Debbie's point is well taken that u have to balace the essential fatty acids as well as the fiber but how exactly does one know the perfect combo?

Just had the b12 checked. It was about 1200. I am working with a gastroenterologist on which meds will help me mangae this but i think i should consult a nutritionist too regarding diet more specifically. I was in the hosp last week for4 days for headache control. I sure don't want to end up in the hosp for grastro management!

I actually heard this question asked on Dr. Ozz on Discovery Health - you want to have a C shape or S shape (sorry for being graphic). You keep adjusting your diet, water intake, essential oils, & fiber until you get the right shape. Adding probiotics to your diet can sometimes help too.
