just a little update on my son

Dear Friends,
I posted a long time ago about my son being in the county jail and no one from AA willing to do visitation there. I had told you that 1 man did come and visit him, during visiting hours and said he would keep track of him and visit when hee is placed some where else.
My son has been 8in jail since January, It is heart breaking. I am mad and still so frustrated with that jail. still no one is willing to help these people. The jail makes it too difficult. Why??? I don't think they want them to get help, they will make more money if they keep reoffending!

Now it is April and my son's birthday is the 26th. He is now talking about going out and drinking, (ONE LAST TIME). I HAVE TRIED TO TALK TO HIM BUT HIS DAD SAYS HE WILL TAKE HIM OUT SO HE WON'T GET A DUI AGAIN!Nice dad huh? I am so saddened and I can't help but wonder, if he would have gotten help when he asked for it his attitude may be different?

He goes back to court on the 18th. On the 4th the Lawyer and County Attorney had agreed on 50,000 bond reduction but the Judge didn't agree so it was still 100,000. We didn't have that much money to bail him out. He thinks on the 18th, his bond will be reduced to 50,000. A part of me hopes so yet another part of me is scared!

He has a 3 year old baby girl. I kept her the night that she had her tonsils out. She sobbed and kept repeating, daddy. I finally broke down in tears! She looked at me and said Grandma are you okay? I said yes, I just miss your dady too! And you know he loves you very much, she said I know! We fell asleep in eachothers arms!

The county attorney has dropped 3 felonies because of all of the errors the police made. The ticket for DUI was written in spanish and not signed. The officer that shot at him and missed his head by 6 inches was on tape showing that when the car slid forward he jumped in between the cars and shot at his head. It was neglegence on his part.

I really don't know what will happen but thanks for the support that was given to me on my last posting!
