MOST important is that women over 40 have a YEARLY mammogram! That's the way my breast cancer was found. Luckily it was found in the very early stages, before I could even feel it during a self-exam. All I needed was a lumpectomy and radiation. A mammogram could save your life, as it did mine!

But for every ten potential cancers found only 1 would have progressed.
How do you know the cancer they found in your body was actually aggressive?

How do you know for certain that your cancer would not have been dealt with naturally by your body when your Vitamin D status reached a sufficient level to deal with cancer naturally?

There is a useful booklet here for those interested in understanding the science of screening.
SENSE ABOUT SCIENCE MAKING SENSE OF SCREENING

I am NOT the only person who has worked out that breast and prostate cancer screening on the whole do more harm than good and money would be better spent on lowering the main easily modifiable risk factor vitamin d status.

Sorry, but TOO MANY women have DIED of this disease and I'm not willing to take that chance by just taking a stupid VITAMIN PILL. If a mammogram is going to save my life, then I'm willing to have one yearly. The food we eat is going to kill us probably anyway, after hearing what I heard on TV last night. LOL.

I'm just not willing to sit and wait and see if the cancer is going to 'go away' while I take a Vitamin pill. I want to do something about it and right NOW. I think that's probably how most people think. But maybe it's just me, I don't know. All I know is that they got RID if it in a hurry and that's all I wanted to hear.

The reason Carole Baggerly is doing what she is doing in promoting BREAST CANCER PREVENTION with VITAMIN D is precisely to prevent people going through what she went through.

She has learnt from experience it's a pity other people don't or won't.

Human bodies evolved living in sunlight and work best when 25(OH)D levels are kept at the level they naturally acquire when living naked. We don't live naked so have to take an equivalent amount of vitamin D to achieve the same healthy natural status.

Women who keep vitamin D status above 30ng have far less chance of repeat metastases than those below 20ng but least chance when levels are above 50ng

Your cancer specialists want you to return year after year in the hope of picking up more business therefore they won't tell you about the evidence there is that Vitamin D3 prevents cancer.

I want to stop that business by applying common sense and scientific evidence to show keeping your 25(OH)D high and stable prevents further cancers.

Prevention is better than treatment. Early diagnosis is not prevention.
