Hi BigHouse - I am so sorry for your loss - I lost my daughter to a rupture on March 1, 2003 and then on March 31st,2003 I had a massive rupture. I am telling you this to show you the importance of getting tested to see if you are OK, it is so very important. - Is there any other family history regarding anuerysms?- It is so horrible to loose a family member and I feel so bad for you. Please take care of yourself. Martie

:( I am so sorry for your loss!!!!! It is such a shock to hear about an aneurysm!! You need to get tested though as the are usually a genetic thing!! there are quite a few who have lost family and I hope they respond to you! Please get tested!!! I know this is very difficult for you to think about right now, but important!! Age soesn't have anything to do with an aneurysm.
I had a rupture in June of 05 and am still recovering! ( I am 47 now ) I was a firefighter until the "Annie"!! I am still have a long recovery ahead! I died on the table momentarily durring my first surgery!! My husband was very tramatized by that!! The Dr. came out and told the family what had happen and showed them a CT of the left side of my brain. I threw a clot and the left side was completely gray for a few moments... It was very hard for them!! I am always scared everyday that it might happen again & I get checked every 6 months. I am due this month for my one year post surgery check up. My husband would prob. be glad to write you when he gets time off.
I am so sorry you are having to go through this & your loss! :o There's a lot of good support here & Brain people!! Support is as much for a patient as it is for the family of one!! I will keep you in my prayers!! FireflyR7 / Tricia

Sadly I know what you are going through. I lost my sister to a rupture at the age of 43, My Dad had a massive rupture and we were his caregivers for 6.5 years when we had to place him in a long term care facility and he passed away last December. My grandfather and great Uncle and my Uncle all died from ruptures.... my Dad and Aunt survived. I know how you feel and it is a sad, scary and lonely place to be hun:( . I would love to chat with you anytime. My email address is:

Hi,
I lost an uncle to a ruptured aneurysm, although he lived far away in Jersey and we weren't that close, when I suffered my rupture it all hit home. The wierd thing was we were both driving when it happened, only I was the lucky one to form a clot over the bleed and SURVIVE!!!!! Now I feel like we have this wierd connection and would some day like to visit his grave.

I'm sorry for your loss. I just recently lost my mother on November 24 at the age of 53. I have 3 kids of the ages 3 months, 9, and 11. I'm totally devastated and heartbroken. She was a big part of my life. So, I know what it is like to lose a loved one. I think itwould make me feel better to talk to people who know what I am going through.

Thanks Suzanne- I hope my mother is watching over all of us. I have a question. Have you been tested for a ba? That is alot of people in your family that have had a ba. So sorry for your losses. It's been a couple of weeks since my mother has been gone, and I am still in shock. I'm constantly online trying to educate myself about these deadly things. My mother was a healthy women. Her only downfall was that she was overweight. She didnt drink, smoke, or do drugs. No high colest. or blood press. I just don't get it. The doctors told us that ba's run in clusters at this particular hospital. They also said sometimes it's caused by the changes of the pressure in the atmosphere. Has anyone ever heard of this?
