Am I able to get into the chat rooms with an IRC client like mIRC? If so, what's the server name/IP and port? Thanks.

No, you can't use mIRC or IRC to use the BT chat room. It needs FlashPlayer to work.

Last time i was on there it was loading pretty well for me (Just have to click 'LOW QUALITY' straight away on connection)

I have a DSL connection, so I don't really have any problems with connection speed. I'm just more comfortable with mIRC, so I'd like to be able to use it in the chat room.

You can start your own chatroom on the chat network you use. As far as I know, there isn't any rule preventing you from posting the link to it here.
