Ever read this book:

Apprenticeship in Thinking: Cognitive Development in Social Context

and if so, how did you like it? It's where Dr. Gutstein got the idea for the cornerstone of the Master-Apprentice relationship in RDI.

If anyone has read it, did you like it, learn from it. It sounded really good, but dry - although I do well reading dry factual material so that might not even be a problem for me.

Opinions?

I actually hadn't heard of it before, but I just checked it out. It's quite old--1990--but interesting, nonetheless. I actually have more than I can probably read in a lifetime right now :o, but if you pick it up, let me know what you think of it.

Mili -
Boy, do I have a book for you, about old behavioral theory, very technical, and the rhetoric is as dry as its old pages.
At first it sounded funny what you said, but i used to have a book I kept in my room that put me to sleep within five pages - I wondered why I kept it, it was about organic gardening and went on about the same composting methods chapter after chapter. One day I was cleaning up old books around the house and threw it out - then years later I realized it was really the best 'organic' sleep aid I ever had and nowadays I miss it!
Oh, the days of simple remedies....
