I hurt my lower back years ago. What was suppose to be a regular fix the disc surgery ended up with 6 more surgeries afterwards. Consequently my nerves are damaged. Left side weaker then right with more pain and problems. As if I have a line down the middle of my body. I now RSD left lower leg. Theres my history heres my question for a problem I incurred after the last surgery the palm of my hands became extremely sensitive. I couldnt touch most things. The would turn bright red, sometimes mottled. Very painful. I was on alot of pain pills, went thru detox, Im now on alot of other meds for pain. These have helped my hands but it has not totally gone away. Meds include Ultram, Tobamax, Celebrex, Neurontin and Baclofen. Drs have said its Reynauds I disagree. Cold makes my hands feel better. They don't get worse or better with temperature changes. Using them for too long brings on the burning pain, thruout my palm and fingers. Could this be neuro? From the nerve damage from the surgeries? Any suggestion that might help better with the pain? Im narcotic free from detox.

I don't have any kind of experience with the problems you describe. However, just the number of surgeries, and the information that you do have neurological damage, makes me think, that the last thing you should do, is submit to more surgery or take more medication.

Have you investigated the possibility to any kind of relief from dietary changes? The Peripheral Neuropathy Forum has good information. It occurs to me that the tremendous stress that these events have put on your life, might also make you susceptible, to a need for vitamin supplementation. I think it is the B and C vitamins that are depleted by stress.

Rose, has good information about these types of problems. She posts frequently on Peripheral Neuropathy. Cheerio.
