Happy Valentines day aka Hallmark holiday aka a reason to waste money on totally dumb stuff like cut flowers and jewelry. Gives me another chore, another thing to remember, dh is all into that kind of romantic stuff (he and I are like gender reversal when it comes to romance). I'd kill him if he wasted money on that kind of thing...but he did get me a banana cream pie which was really really 'romantic' to me cause it's flavor I actually like, and he doesn't. Plus it's not a grand waste of money which I hate. I got him a music cd he mentioned he wanted a few weeks ago, so I think he was surprised I remembered (but not as surprised as I was that I remembered, lol).

Our Valentine's Day celebration was a little strange, as DH got me 3 ft. of snow for a gift! Yep, we were socked in with a blizzard yesterday, kids home from school, county state of emergency (no driving, no matter what). What a party...:rolleyes:

I got him a combination anniversary (boo hoo...we didn't get to celebrate in January)/V. day gift of an iPOD, as he was really coveting the one he got me last year for my birthday. He now feels VERY guilty, as he couldn't do any shopping for me last week or during the snowstorm. Hmmm...maybe I'll get something glittery for my combination anniversary/V. day gift? Probably something like a toaster or a new snow shovel, knowing him! ;)
