Three Canadians face life imprisonment in a US federal prison simply for political activities in Canada to legalize marijuana around the world.
Marc Emery, Michelle Rainey, and Greg Williams are Canadian citizens who were heavily involved in anti-prohibition activitism in Canada for ten years. On May 28th, 2007 they will appear in a BC Supreme Court to begin the extradition hearing, scheduled to last 5 full days. The US Prosecutors will attempt to extradite these three Canadian cannabis activists to the US, where they face 10 years to life in prison.
The following is an article by Marc Emery that appeared in Cannabis Culture #58 (December/January 05/06). It explains his history as a political and social activist in Canada; his reasons to run Marc Emery Direct Marijuana Seeds; how he funded global cannabis activist organizations and formal marijuana initiatives and campaigns; and what the US Drug War's influence on Canada has caused. Updated information has been added where necessary.

Glad it aint me soul. But the emery site is so helpfull with out the bs those that choose a hemp free life. Now poly rope does not rot into the sea it hangs jere like a hangmans noose. Now Methanol is the same as burning fossil fuels.Geez my skakes stopped today.I could do a Grassman sermon on transvestites fact or fiction, bacon in the microwave.....geez remember frying bacon....when camping frying bacon around the campfire was well from what I remember, theraputic.
Double space .
No sh!t G-man I can smell the bacon and yes those memories are therapeutic
I think, at least they are for me.
As for the BC3, I am sort of involved in the movement down here and its not on the radar for most Americans. I find myself explaining whats going on to many people and it's like it doesn't register with most of them:confused:
I guess if it's not on Fox or CNN they don't seem to get it
I see they go into extradition hearings on May 28th, 07 and possibly will be shoved into a US Federal Prison because the DEA does not agree with them yea right.. see that date folks it's quickly approaching, these Canadians are about to face the US Courts for something that is completely a political gesture from the DEA
People say something speak out write your congressman heck write the Canadian Prime minister Stephen Harper do something these people do not deserve this.

I thought there would be more response and outrage from this group about the unconscionable raid on our local (and only local) cannabis club for medical marijuana patients, especially since it was perpetuated by our own local authorities. *shrug* I guess I'm the only one with anything to say about it.

Your not the only one who is outraged AW. I for one am, there are a lot of actions going on right now that are wrong. And speaking publicly about this subject may frighten people due to the possible repercussions from the Federal Authorities
I feel the pain 24/7 and I don't want anymore chemicals in my body so I choose Medical Marijuana, at times I am frightened by the Authorities due to my choice
Our State Gov. is looking into legalizing for Medical use, but I am sure it will get vetoed
But someday I am sure my Dr.& I will be allowed to look after my body as we see fit
