View Full Version : Registration email no longer required

I'm hearing from a number of folks who aren't receiving their "registration email." Not sure what the problem is, since I see email going out, and have tested things on my end. Might be spam filters on either people's own mailboxes or perhaps on their ISP's routers. I really don't know.
At any rate, I've decided to turn OFF the required registration email at this point. From now on, as soon as you register you'll be able to post immediately without having to check your email for a registration email.
Registration email is a way to prevent automated systems from spamming forums. If we suddenly get deluged by spam, I'll have to turn it back on. But in the meantime, I think having it OFF will make it a lot easier for folks to quickly jump back into Braintalk.

I'm also going to manually activate everyone currently waiting in the "email registration" queue. So if you've had trouble posting and never got a registration email, don't worry. You'll automatically be activated in the next 30 min or so as I go through the queue.

I never got one and I do not have a spam filter on my email account. I allow all email through and dump tons of junk every day, but no email from Braintalk.
