I need to find another type of doctor other than a pain specialist to manage my pain relief. Here's the reason..I had been seeing the same pain doctor from 1999 until september of 2006. I was dismissed from her care because she objected to me having a service dog. She did not want the dog in her building and at one point took hold of the leash and pulled the dog outside and then called the police. Needless to say this is now in the civil courts for discremination. Every pain clinic except one turned me down because my case is too old and they don't want to take over another doctors patient after 7 years. The one that did accept me is not I have found out an RSD specialist. My lawyers have prepared papers to submit for permant total and this "new" doctor is looking to do testing on me for conditions I am already approved for and have been treated for. Not only that but he submitted a report to BWC and said he wants to do these tests to see if my pain is real or psycological. I began seeing a doctor for depression a couple of years into my RSD. As you all know our lifestyle changes. I was a very active person..bowling, target shooting, horseback riding, walking with my neighbor 3-4 times a week. My whole life was turned upside down. All I wanted this doctor to do was to take my case and just manage my pain, that's it...Is there another type of doctor other than a pain specialist who takes people like me just to manage my pain?? Is there any advice about what to do with this doctor I am now seeing???I appreciate any advise and help..Thank you
