Help with Avatar

I am going insane trying to get my photo in my avatar and in my profile. It keeps saying its too large, and yet I've reduced it as much as I can, plus, I've used it in numerous MS forums that I belong to...it won't even accept a url where I know it's posted.

I've followed all instructions here, and still can't use it...I admit I'm terribly computer challenged, but I'm also severely disabled in my hands due to my MS... would one of the moderators here have pity on me please (laughing at myself) and allow me to email my photo to you so that you can reduce it and place it in my avatar and profile photo please??? pretty please with sugar on top? pretty pretty please with a cherry, whipped cream and chocolate shavings too? (I beg good, huh) <--laughing and crying at the same time.
