Hello all, maybe you can help with this one !
In 2003 I had 2 celiac plexis blocks for pain due to chronic pancreatitis. The chronic pancrea**** was caused by pancreatic duct stenosis so it was pretty constant. About a week after the first block I was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. The cause was not pancrea**** but a bowel obstruction caused by an intussusseption of the jejenum (requiring surgery). About 10 days after the second block I had a partial obstruction in the same general area. Does anyone see a correlation with the blocks and the obstructions? The blocks were 6 months apart. That was with an old PM, my new PM is hesitant to try this again, so am I. I am interested if anyone, especially those of us with medical backgrounds, personal experience, etc might have an idea if these were related.
As always, thanks for your help and responses
