My Favorite Things...

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad... :)



When I was a kid, my Papa used to tell me to "Go There", meaning my "Happy Place" when things were tough around me... Then in the late 60's Bab's sang "My Favorite Things" and he said... "Well same lesson, she just sings prettier than I do"... he wasn't wrong...

These past couple of days have been "tough" and I once again found myself exploring "My Favorite Things"... and FYI BT is one of my Fav's, be sure of it!

I thought it would be "fun" to learn each other's "Favorite Things", just another way for us to get to know one another...

No rules, no pressure, just "share YOUR favorite things"... really doesn't matter what they are!

The feeling of sand in between my toes, while watching & smelling the majesty of the ocwan waves crash against a shoreline. ( for 'starters':))

Sighting my first robin in spring. When 'helicopters' start falling off maple trees & especialy red cardinals in the newly fallen snow. I wasn't planning to write so much but I wanted to say, I never thought of it, but I guess I like the seasons best.

houghchrst, My dd & her bf went to Alpine Valley last eve. & there was a wind chill advisery...crazy kids.
bon, I love gingerbread houses & make the ones starting from kits.

walking barefoot in the summer

laying on the picnic table seat bench and looking up at the sky

watching my dog, nora, push a brick (YES A BRICK!!!) outside with her nose and then put her feet on it and skid across the sidewalk

natural peanut butter

a hot cup of tea

watching a good movie

reading a good book

everybody safe at home at night
