A few of my friends were recently dx with breast cancer. Among them, my BF had a lumpectomy about 6 weeks ago and now has to start chemo on Wednesday. I will be taking her to it.
(I feel I have to mention they told her now that the optimum time to start chemo is before 4 weeks post, 8 weeks is pointless).

I was wondering if anyone had any tips that I could give her.
I heard that ice chips cut down on nausea, help with the dehydration but.. didn't get the specifics.
I heard she should be sipping plenty of water pre and after chemo.
I heard a high fiber meal is best before chemo
I know how to be supportive and can be the therapist/friend... but any other type of tips are welcome.

i'm tipless, except for the most important one: find a dear and close friend to support you. Glad she has you Keg.

I don't know if you ever visit the Child Neuro forum here Keggy, but one of our members, Pansy, has been down this road and is doing quite well. She is a phenomenal lady and might be a wonderful support, as well as 'informant'.
She has had success treating her cancer this second go=round with FlaxSeed. perhaps you could try contacting her?
