I have congenital hydrocephalus, and would just love to try to help anyone out there that would need help, or sometimes I just like to talk. I hope someone finds this and will respond.

Hi,

I think it is GREAT that you would like to try and help people with their hydrocephalus issues.

If you look at the boards, there are quite a few postings under Hydrocephalus from people who are asking for advice and support in HOW to deal with certain things...if you have been through anything they're asking about, by all means, respond to those posts.

BUT, I think we might've explained to you before that these message boards are NOT meant to be social/chat boards. I haven't seen anyone post here that "just likes to talk". If you're really just looking for a social outlet for "chit chat", this is not the place for it. BrainTalk is a place people can go to for help/guidance/advice in how to deal with their hydrocephalus and other neurological issues they are facing. It's NOT a chat room.

I apologize for sounding harsh, but you have posted many times looking for attention and people to just chat with.

Again, I do not want to discourage you from joining in on one of the POSTED threads from other people if you can offer input to help them, but for socializing, you really need to find another place honey.

Kathi

Jennifer,

I am sorry I don't have the ability to chat a lot. Often the posts I do make flare me. But I want to help when I think I can. Plus the sharing feels good.

This site: http://www.butyoudontlooksick.com/

has a message board. I have a feeling a fair amount of chit-chat is allowed there, although I really haven't read much of it.

Look on the left side down quite a bit for "message boards" and click on it (I assume).

If you want to post you'll have to sign in. I haven't used it yet, so that's all I know about it.

I am sorry you are so lonely. Believe me, I am alone a lot & get very lonely as I am really a people person. But thankfully there are enough posts about Hydro that I can reply to since I have had problems of slight ? over draining the whole 6 years I have been shunted. And I believe this is causing what I call my pseudo heart symptoms & exhaustion. Headaches are a given with over (or under) draining!

Good luck,
Cathy
