Hey Jaded....

I was at my Mom's caring for her all day today and so was unable to get anything else accomplished. Wow-it is hard work to take care of a Mom with 2 broken leg/ankle/feet areas!!!! But I crossed a bridge today that I never thought I would- I mean NEVER! I actually gave her a shot! I am not afraid of spiders or diapers or childbirth or just about anything else but put a shot/needle in front of me and I am a mess.....well, maybe not anymore....

Ok- so anyway- tomorrow I will call Dr. Tewari and see what I can find out for you.

Good to see everyone posting so much and helping eachother. What a nice leaky bunch we are!!!:D

You are so sweet! Thanks so much for thinking of me... The doc that was supposed to plug up my leak is conveniently out of the country - not due back until Monday. *sigh* So here I sit in pain waiting for the people who are supposed to help me to do just that. I swear it's always something, right???:rolleyes:

Isn't the runaround maddening????? I am so sorry that things arent going your way.

Ok- here is my report back to you(and I hope it doesnt feel like more run around). I called and spoke with Dr. Tewari's receptionist. She reports that Dr. Tewari is in surgery but she will ask him if he can help with cranial leaks as a result of sinus surgery. She has taken my name and number and will call me back some time today. As soon as I hear anything I will get right back with you.

I did get a return call from the Dr.'s office yesterday. His assistant said he thinks it sounds like you need a surgeon. I told her that I think you are hoping to find someone to help with the pain. So- she said she would check back with him on that. I have not heard anymore. If I do- I will sure let you know. I am sorry I am not able to help you more than this.

I am sorry to get my nose in the middle of this post where I don't really belong..............but Shelly, you are SO wonderful. I know that Jaded is telling you how much she appreciates you.........I wanted to chime in and tell you that you are obviously a blessing to this world. You have helped many of us in one way or another. As far as your mom, I pray that she gets better soon. I am sorry for her pain and your concerns! The best to you...........and you too Jaded!

Awe Shux Ginger.......making a couple phone calls is easy!!! Now if you all needed me to draw blood- well....you would find me quite disagreeable!

Jaded.....I am sorry to say that I guess this Doc is a dead end for you. His office person called again late ( I was making dinner) and she said he doesnt think he would know how to help you. At least you didnt make a trip here. I hope something breaks soon for you.

Shelly - Thanks anyway! I'll give these guys at Northwestern a chance to "fix" me, and if they can't or don't I'll most likely be off to see Dr. Mokri at Mayo. Again, it was extremely caring of you to ask for me - you don't even know me! :o Your family is very fortunate...

GL - thanks for the warm wishes. I swear, never in a million years did I ever think I would end up with a physical problem that would be so difficult. I always thought doctors could fix anything, and knew all. Boy was I WRONG!! Not to mention some of them are outright evil!!! :mad:
