I hope to see my NS in the near? future & to discuss the possiblity off having Chiari or hind brain crowding. Can you have hind brain crowding without Chiari? I'm assuming that since my ventricles are large again, including 3rd & 4th, that I could have hind brain crowding.

Over the years, several people have told me some of my symptoms sound like Chiari.

Anyway, is it one of those words that gets pronounced differently by Dr's.?

I'm guessing either "she-ari" or "key-ari"

You'll see by my signature I was shunted at age 50 for Hydrocephalus.

Thanks Liz. Now if I can remember!?!?

OK I'll try to connect mentally - the key to Chiari !!! :D

Anyway. Is hindbrain crowding a separate problem? maybe re my Hydro? Not that I know if I have it !

I doubt I'll even get my NS to do an MRI. I present to be too well. Meanwhile my lifestyle is very restricted. And I start to hate my bed!
As I have to lie down frequently - different inclines as I finally bought an adj. bed from Ikea. Cost me $600 (3 different parts to purchase). But it's only good for short people as it is only available in the short twin size.
