hi there sorry to hear of ur problems.....

in may i got bells paulsy. major headache (beyond my everydat ones) tongur completerly numb right side of my face was completly parilized and r eye was very fuzzy.

bells paulst is a virus (same one that caused shingles) and often it a major thing that brings it out. thats what i was told. few days later they found brain anneurysm.

while i was in the hospital... they were so nice to give me cherios and rice crispies for breakfast....... duh, im sure u know exactly what im talking about (but rice crispies fit through a mc donalds straw!)

my face was simetrical, i had no dragging. eye wouldnt blink and i had to tape it shut to sleep 4 weeks and it was gone. the dr told me to try stimulating face and inside of mouth (toothbrush on inner cheek ect) and brought me a mirror so i could try making faces ect. my kids were big help... they are boys and who better to make faces with!!!! im sure the laughter helped too!

thet had me on anti viral meds as well as obsene amounts of prednisone (morphine and toridal for head pain)

after 3 weeks i had most movement bach 4 weeks and u couldnt even see a drag.

oh every one loved my elvis impersonation!

the Quazi moto of hunchback of notre dame complex was really hard for me as i volenteer at kids school and worried about my kids getting picked on cause their mom is a freak..... (i took couple weeks off)

all the best to u i know i was lucky with my recovery time ans i hope u can be too.

Hi Im sorry to hear about you b/p I had it last year and it was the most terrible thing. My face was completely dead on the left side my eye wouldnt close, I couldnt drink or eat good at all. My head would shake because my eye couldnt blink, I really hated it. The sun made things worse. I went throught this for about two months. It finialy went away. I hope you feel better soon. May GOD Bless. Take care things will get better

I had this for about 6 months. Acupuncture and megadoses of methyl B12 helped, but mine was due to Lyme Disease. Good luck to you...I know you are going thru hell.

It's all about nerve damage. This is what determines the outcome of bells. Some of us have more damage than others and therefore don't recover fully. Others have mild nerve damage and have quick and complete recoveries. Hang in there, it's early on in the game and you should not think about not recovering at this point. Of course, being an acupuncturist myself, I do think that acupuncture is really great in aiding recovery and I am a huge advocate of methylcobalamin b12 because it is a neuro supplement; if you are so inclined to go that route.
