Hello All Quitters!! :D

Here's a link to a great article with tips to quit smoking....
http://www.ash.org.uk/html/factsheets/html/fact24.html

I hope anyone who is quitting or has already quit will post here. It's good to get support from others who have been through similar situations. :)

Hi Quitters :)

I am still here and working on my sixteenth month of being smoke free!!

My fiancé has finally stopped as well and has 4 months under her belt.

I knew my smoking was the reason she picked it up although she would never admit that. I am just glad she finally stopped and we can now concentrate on getting healthier.

Even though I suffer from chronic pain I work out eveyday on a treadmill I bought and I am now walking everyday. I would never have been able to do this if I was still smoking.

Hey - it's good to see you!! What great news about your fiancé. It's food that you two are smoke-free now. And I think it's great that you can use your treadmill too. :D

Hey there, Teddiebears!

Finally caught up with the new site! Looks pretty fantastic if you me! What I do hope is that more people register here at Braintalk. I was one of those old fogies from the wayyy old site back in 1999 and I'm still coming and going just like in the old days! Just can't live without this place. It soothes me when I'm down. Like when I am recovering from this or that. You know what I mean? I've been around a long time, sister! I'm addicted to the whole experience. ;)

To all the new quitters- Good luck in your committment to stop smoking! You can do it if you are doing it for yourself! :)

Take care,
Christine ;)

I missed your post the other day - sorry!

I chuckled a bit when I read your remarks about being 'addicted to this place (BT)'. ;) I used to wake up nearly every day anxious to get on the forum and doing so quite automatically - without really thinking about it. But since the most recent crash, I've found other ways to 'sooth myself' (as you mentioned) and now I actually have to make a very conscious effort to even check this place out each day. Just another 'addiction' overcome!! Funny how things work out!! ;)

But I'm glad to see you here and hopefully things will get more active and we can all help each other again.
