I too chloral hydrate to sleep - 3 teaspoons mixed with cran juice. I seconds my throat started burning so I spilled it out. Unfortunately I still have the burning on my lips, mouth tongue, esophagus and down into my stomach. The burning spread further each day. They gave me 75 mcg fentanyl patch but it isn't working. I am on fire. I need to get rid of this early so it is not permanent. They tried morphine IV n the h ospital - but no veins to stick - have RSD and FM.
Sipping aloe, difficult to talk. Gave me licorice - that made it worse.
Help. This is neuropathic pain. I am really frightened.
