oh my god you are not going to believe this!!!

I had my 3rd interview today. Ends up it was with another panel of people, of the people who "would" be my new teammates if I had the job. so I answered as much as I could, and asked as many questions as I could and they actually calmed some of my fears. Then I took a deep breath and I asked what could be my new boss if I could talk to him one on one. So he took me off the speaker phone and nervously I started muttering that I had chronic pain, lots of doctors appointment , some days I don't make much sense since I didnt sleep all night cause I was in pain. I stammered the whole way through. The interview lasted over 30 minutes. He told me he would be making his decision today.

I hung up the phone nervous of course I hate having to explain things like I have chronic pain that brings complications to my life but really trust me I can do the job...

sooo that was at 10:30 at 11:45 he calls me I take a deep breath as he says "I would like to offer you the job" I quickly so "Wow ok yes please I`ll take it" then slowly let it all sink in.. He then went to thank me for my honesty and he would not want any of his team working to many hours whether they were healthy or not.

so OH MY GOD I got the promotion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D :D

I get a raise, they will be paying me for my cell phone, etc..

did I mention they offered me the job??!!!! Even after I told him that I had health issues, and constant monitering from a few doctors??

WOW!!!!! I am so hyped up right I cant believe it!! I have to go post this somewheres else to! guess I didnt make a mistake... WOW!!!!

Erin you have to read this! there are so companies that will understand that we are still human!!!!It`s not a dream its true... oh shucks what if this is a dream? and I am typing this in my dream?? hmmm;)

The official date is march 12th that I start my position oh and by the way just to bloat my head even more our head office is actually in Toronto, Ontario while I am in New Brunswick and it is the first time this position is offered in New Brunswick! all of them in the past were in TO! I still have not been able to let people know that I have chronic pain but am I still smart so I always stutter through it all. but anyhoo yes there are still companies out there and its def worth getting your degree so you can do something you love.

There are some companies that are worth it :D going to go sit in the living room and try to hide my big grin LOL think I can pull it off?;)

Thank you for the kind words Diandra, I have to admit that altough I feel very proud of myself at this moment there are some companies that will see us as humans! imagine!

Sophie,
This is such great news. Wow. And enormous kudos to you for your blatant honesty. I am not sure I would be able to let all of that out as forthrightly as you did.

Getting the promotion under those conditions just emphasizes how much they want YOU and how right you are for the job, no matter what accommodations might be needed. Huge congratulations are in order.

I always feel that when something terrific happens to one of us, it happens to us all, so I feel great, too.
