Exactly how does one become a BT Nerd/Nerdette???

There is a current discussion underway about what the prerequisites should
be for allowing somebody to become a nerd/nerdette.

No final decisions have been made but, at the current time, those involved
in the discussion are looking at the possibility of there being a "cadet
program." In addition to previously demonstrated ability in assisting users
with technical problems, the program would give people a chance to hone
their skill, knowledge and communication abilities necessary to assist board
users having problems with/on the site.
