Cessation of SSI payments question.

Hello,I read that it usually takes longer than one year to go before judge if you appeal SSI cessation of benefits.Is this true?Also,do you have to pay back benefits if you choose to continue them while in appeal?Thanks for any help!

Imbroken, I'm sorry I can't answer your question, I'm sure that others will be able to help.
It took me over 4 yrs to get a hearing, I hear that they are doing something to speed up the process, believe it when I see it.
