Pain has the best of me

Hi Everyone,
The pain from my MP has the best of me tonight. I take 60 mg morphine twice a day plus a 15mg tablet of morphine if I need more. Well, all that doesn't help right now. The last couple days have been awful. Sure wish they would come up with a cure. It is also so hard to have my friends understand this, when I have a hard time some days.. They can't understand why "You're not over with this yet" I am at a lose on how to answer that anymore. I am just having a bad night. Take care everyone.

I can understand! I will admit there have been nights when I sat alone on the sofa, tears pouring down my face contemplating cutting the leg off myself or killing myself.

The last few months, I have payed close attention to my triggers. Cold air definitely is the worst. It is the rude awakening of the devil that lays in wait in my thigh.

Drugs, yes drugs are my salvation. I hate them and need them at the same time. You need to play with the drugs Bimo, find the combo that works for you.
Mine is cymbalta, lyrica, baclofen, provigil with the vicodin chaser at night.
Why baclofen? Because the leg tightens up at night from the transection damage. Provigil because the pain in the leg has caused noticeable weakness in the leg and hip and i get worn out just walking . Cymbalta and lyrica for the neuropathic pain.

A couple of times a month I turn to the duragesic patches as well.
Is it better since the transection...? I'm not praying as much to God so I guess he has more time to listen to other people...poor guy

I hope you have some relief. You are in my prayers. I know how tired we get of dealing with friends or people around us who do not understand what we are dealing with in our bodies.
That is why this site is so supportive. Many of us walk in the same shoes but levels of pain can vary. We share and support.
