This was out and appeared here on BT when I first joined too many years ago. What a joke. A lot that (report) accomplished? (with greatest respect to Pharmy Steve)

So, pain causes our brains to shrink? No F'ing duh. Pain robs us everyday of something.

Whatta you bet, that the resurgence of this article isn't going to lead back to somehow "blaming" us for our shrinking brains. :rolleyes:

Whatta you bet, that they will logically be able to turn this into something like, "it is our shrunken brains that are actually the source of our spinal pain" (or any long term pain condition), and not the other way around?

Whatta you bet, that an article that shows the results of long term pain on the human body, will be flipped to be used against us?

Remember, for all those long term BT'ers here, the articles about how much long term pain, even at moderate levels, screws up all kinds of things in our bodies? Who cares? Nobody.

Don't mean to sound cynical. I can also report that my endocrinologist is convinced, without a doubt, that the stress of long term chronic pain, has affected my health negatively. Whoop'd'doo. But, long term use of opiods, also has negative affects on hormone levels, etc. Ugh.

This is a game we aren't gonna win.
