A few weeks ago I was ask by disability to take a breathing test. The technician who gave me the test said I didnt do good but I wanted to see what disability said. Earlier this morning a lady called from the disability office telling me I did not score well on their test. She then asked me if I have shortness of breath. I explained to her I do have shortness of breath just trying to do normal activities. She then said she could tell I had shortness of breath while talking to me on the phone. She asked if this was also causing me to not work. I explained to her the main reason I can no longer work is because of chronic pain from the spine surgeries I had but I did tell her I give out of breath walking across the parking lot. I told her alot of people with scoliosis have breathing problems. She again commented on my shortness of breath just talking to her thru the phone. She then said disablity would have an answer for me soon. I am hoping I hear something next week from them. Thanks, Brian

I'm no expert but it seems like the person for SSA was trying to determine the code they would use for your disability. It sounds like great news to me!! Keep us posted on what happens next.

I am a ball of nerves the last few days. I want this more than anything I have ever wanted. I have worked the past four years in pain just dreaming of the life I would have not in pain and having to work. I know the pain will continue but life will be easier not having to work 8 to 10 hours per day just for a company who treats their employees like robots. I also hated doing a job I once loved but could no longer do it 100%. I actually was happy the last time I was laid off because I knew it would give me time to reflect on what I wanted to do in the future. Sorry to ramble but I am hoping to get a positive reply from SSD. Brian
