thanks for that link. I now know that my kitty (now deceased) was probably a Maine coon mix, and why his hair was so soft and didn't tangle much. He also was a manx and the most loveable cat I ever had, and I've had a lot of cats. He would me most of the way down the hall and hear me say kittchchee kittchee and would come back, hop on my recliner and touch his nose to mine. Our special kiss. He did die with sudden heart problems and also had to have help at his birth. Boy he was the biggest cat that ever owned me.

Awm sowwy Joy that you big fur baby is gone. How sad!
I've always wanted a Main Coone cat.....got the 3 black cats, rescued them from the coyote snack bin! Couldn't bare the thought of leaving all those kitties to be eaten....so they now live indoors with us.
I logged onto the cat site that Dude posted. Read about declawing.
I didn't realize this was considered cruel... I had 2 of the cats declawed. One just her front paws, Bitty-Boo had all 28 claws removed...both front and back cuz he stuck like velcro to everything with his huge deformed paws. He's the sweetest of all of them and is never naughty....the one that wasn't declawed is Princess....Princess and the Pee! She used to pee on everything...so she was destined to be an outdoor cat...but the coyotes began to be a problem so we put her in a cage in the garage for 2 weeks....that stopped her from the peeing on everything and has been inside for 8 months now! She's the biter! So what is said on that website about declawing doesn't apply to mine. But my cats are special! Aren't all our fur babies special?!??!

Yes, no fur babies any more except for one dog. I will play with other people's pets anytime though.
