Rachel's neuro wants me to send him a video clip by email, can anyone tell me how to upload video? I have done pictures before but never video. I assume I need a USB cable, but where do you load to? Do you have to have a special program?
Help:confused:

What kind of camera do you have? Is it a digital camera or one that uses tape?

It is a camcorder, so tape. We do have a digital camera also but the video I caught is on the camcorder.

Oh, boy. I've done that, but it's hard and I never did get the sound right. As I recall, it takes some special cables, software and a t.v. card in your computer. You then plug the camera into the card and do a capture from the card into a digital format. I'm a computer programmer and still found it hard to do, but that was about 6 years ago. Perhaps technology has improved some.
It may well be cheaper and faster to call around to photography shops in your area to see if there is someone who can convert the tape for you. IF you explain the situation and that you are in a hurry to get the file to the neurologist, they may be able to expedite the service.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

Here an explanation of what you need to do if you want/need to do it yourself:

Good luck and update when you can.

I'd check places like Walgreens, Best Buy, and camera stores and see who can convert it for you. I have no idea how to do that conversion myself other than to play the video and use the digital camera to record the television while the video is playing. That would probably yield pretty poor quality though.

Well, after calling several places with no luck, the nurse from the neuro's office called back and said not to worry about it, just try to catch the next one on our digital camera, or bring the tape in with us next time.
Thanks for your help though.

I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you, but glad that the nurse was flexible.
