Just wanted to jump in and say hello. My name is Debby and I live in TX. I have PN resulting from a stroke I had in July of this year. Tried Lyrica, but puffed up like a toad and heart irregularities became more than I could handle. Had to stop it.
I am reading all of your posts to get ideas on how to manage this harsh burning down my leg and in my foot!!!
Take care.

Welcome Debby, and my Aussie mate is right, PN does suck :) but you will find a lot of friendly and very helpfull people here ready to help if they can, so if you have any questions fire away ;)
Others will most likely post and may say what meds helped their burning the most, but keep in mind that we are all differant in our reactions to differant meds, what may help one, doesn't always help another, others choose to have no meds, but its what ever suits the individual, its trial and error normaly, when trying new meds, a good tip that was passed on here was to ask the doc's if you can try their sample packs first before you go and purchase them, might save a bit of cash.
I personaly found Tramadol slow release and Endep [Amitriptyline] helped my burning, but thats only me.
good luck
Brian.
Hi, Debby. :)
I'm fairly new to all this PN stuff as well.
I just started taking Lyrica this weekend at a "baby" dose to work up to the proper amount so hopefully my body will tolerate it. Sorry to hear it didn't work for you.
I won't be able to give you any helpful advice since I am still learning about it myself, but I know there are others here who can give you help. I just wanted to pop in and say hello.
