ENJOY.THEN GO BUY A NAIL BRUSH IN CASE YOU GET THE URGE TO GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY THIS SPRING/SUMMER.

Hi Rowland,
On Tonight's Weather Report They Showed Ice On Tree Branches In California And Texas. I Was Curious So I Tried And Failed To Find Your City On The Map And Then Realized Just How Big Your State Really Is. I Just Ended Up Doing A Web Search For Your City. What A Nice Little Area You Live In, Just Outside Wine Country. If I Ever Visited California I've Always Thought Your Locale Would Be Ideal.
As Far As The Wildflowers Go, I've Had Both Pink And Purple Coneflower And Those Are Both Very Showy Blooms That Reseed Easily. Also Monarda Or Bee-balm Is A Red Flower That Has A Great Fragrancewhen You Rub The Leaves And Is The Principal Ingredient In Earl Gray Tea. Both Of These Plants Are Very Invasive And Should Be Thinned Every Couple Of Years.

Hi Kathy,
Yes, the wine country is a great place to live. We arn't having any snow or ice as yet, but the temp has been staying at 20 each morning for the last three days. Thankfully, it warms up through the day, but I'll be glad to get back to more typical California weather. I wonder how the folks in the Midwest are feeling about global warming right now.:D :D :D

Global Warming Is Affecting A Lot.the Polar Bears Are Cannibalizing One Another, humans Have Increasing Allergy Symptoms And God Knows What Else.i'd Like To Hear From Rambo "mango Shade" About Any Changes He Has Noted In His Half Of The Globe. I Read That El Nina' Is Wreaking Havoc On Australia.
This Is All Interesting When One Considers The Ancient Civilizations That Relied On Meteorlogical And Astrological Events To Record Their History Or Form Their Calendar.that's All They Had.

Hiya Kathy,

Talk about weird weather downunder. We had snow on the snowfields... on Christmas Day... literally the middle of our summer!! Aus is in serious trouble with a drought that has the main reservoir for Brisbane down to 21% of capacity as I type this. In theory, it'd be dry within 14 months without rain, but the long range forecasters are all predicting a very big wet in March/April. I hope so. The garden is a lovely shade of brown at the moment and we're in the subtropics!

Hi Mango!
I'll Pray For Rain In Your Part Of The World. In North America, Ohio, We Are Finally Experiencing The Type Of Winter Weather We Are Accustomed To. Snow And An Alberta Clipper Are On The Schedule. I've Decided To Read For The Next 3 Months Then When My Little Fanny Gets Sore From Sitting, I'll Just Start Bicycling. By Then It'll Be Spring And I'll Go Out And Plow The Back Forty.

Hehehe Very droll Rowland.

I forgot to mention.... Last year, Toowoomba, a country town 2 hours drive from me had a referendum on whether to start treating sewage to convert it back to potable water. The No vote won, which was a bit silly because tests show that the treated water is actually cleaner than normal water. It was just a mental thing I guess.

Anyhooo, the Queensland premier has just announced that if the drought continues, they'd start the treated sewage with or without public approval. Guess who'll be retiring before the next election.
