I have two icons for MSN Messenger. One for 7.0 and one for 7.5.

1. I have never removed any software. How do I do it?

2. How can I find where the start MSN command is? I changed it not to start automatically (don't know which version)

but every time I do sign in I am told I am signed in on another computer. But I think it is really on mine because it gets signed out so I can sign in. I can't find where the automatic MSN session is.

I don't even know if I want MSN anymore now that I am using Rogers/Yahoo mail. And I find it too hard to instant message.

What else would I need it for ? Do I need it for Hotmail? OK now you really know I am clueless :D

Thanks in advance,
Cathy

To uninstall... Click on Start => Control Panel => Add or Remove Programs. Scroll down and find MSN Messenger, click on it, then click on remove.

To change the settings... Open Messenger and Click on Tools => Options => General. The first option on there is for Sign In. The first box is for "Automatically run Messenger when I log on to Windows". To keep it from starting, uncheck that box.

You don't need to have MSN Messenger on your computer to reach hotmail. If you want to uninstall the Messenger totally, just go to MSN.com to reach hotmail.
