Has anyone had experience with Seabreeze Physical Therapy at St. Petersburg, Fl, for the treatment of idiopathic neuropathy? It appears they use the ReBuilder along with other treatments, and claim great success.
I would like to hear if anyone knows anything about them.

I CAN relay my experiences w/different PT providers. Keep in mind that EACh PT source comes probably from a particular viewpoint. Those I've encountered are the 1] churn 'em in/out as fast/safe as possible; 2] work[milk] the patient for all the insurance pays and then try for more; OR 3] actually find a program where [here you have to be sure doc NOTES establish HOME THERApY program!] that can be done safely at home as well as at PT facility. You can't have perpetual PT, but you can have a program developed to your skills and comfort levels, and actually over-achieve!
How I decided which program was best for me: I'd gone thru the #1 phase with a knee problem before PN...I just KNEW it's not for this kind of problem. #2 was OK after onset...I could barely drive/get there [nope, you really didn't want to be on the road w/me!], and I made progress, but, something was missing - the 'home-can/do stuff'. #3 was the charm! Working with really GOOD PT's who actually understod PN and how to challenge you with out any threat...well it was FUN. Given tools to get, how to use safely, how to do good things to get stronger correctly and NOT threaten well-being was, well, like Christmas! Every day was an accomplishment, usually without the normal PN PAYBACKS. I knew I could DO stuff! I could do it at HOME! I could actually FUNCTION!
How to do? Decide? Trust your self! Go and look/audit some sessions...more than one, best 3? See how you feel that folks are going thru 'paces' safely, and ask them, as they leave....what do you think...if you don't mind...why better, have you tried others? Feedback such as this is PRICELESS! I've gotten lists from docs in a sort-of priority in terms of what that PT place can do for THAT job. Each job has different criteria...but. watching how therapists treat people, and respond to their issues is critical in: "how each of us responds to what we need to get done to get where we need to go?"
I don't know about you, but, I would like to go the way of least stress?. Going to 'watch' is cheap, the next step, check out options -some can be done on the 'web' but, most is see, and instinct. You'd be surprised about that latter part. Hope this all helps - it's all so SUBJECTIVE...it is frustrating. - j
By 'SAFELY' I mean: did you see more than one person almost do the 'dangerous UN-OH!?' Do folks limp out of a pt session? Do they seem truly Eager for more of what I call PUNISHMENT? If the latter, it's a GOLD mine! When you smile while paying to be abused or tortured and can still function after the torture...well, you are doing GOOD!...get the picture? - j
