Is walking again! I feel almost leary of writing that down, because the "twitching hour" has yet to pass, but Megs was walking pretty well today. Chris and I had our first date night in a long time last night, so by the time we all got to bed, we decided to make it a sleep in day. And by the way, Chris and I had a great time. Dinner, a movie (AT A THEATER!), and a quick stop at WalMart. I know the WalMart bit is pretty sad, but when we are in a town with a store, we have to stop. We hadn't seen a movie in a theater in 5 years. The one other time! We saw "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. It was a great movie, but this Nebraska girl is now even more afraid of drowning/big bodies of water!

So, one week seems to be another thing Megs and Becca have in common!

Hydro twins I tell you.

I am so happy to hear that she's back on her feet today. Yep - one week has been the magic number for us after a big one. That is usually when I can breathe a sigh of relief that Becca will in fact be the Becca we had before the seizure - again.

A date. . . now what is that!?!?! Good for you both!

Actually, since we are in VA now - Joe's (retired) parents are only 5 hours away. So the Marine Corps Birthday ball - an annual ceremony ball each year in Nov. is coming up at a nice hotel in the DC area Nov. 4th.

His parents are coming to watch the kids overnight so we can get all dressed up and go to the ball and spend the night at the hotel! I am excited. Now I just have to be able to fit into a dress I wore to a past ball years ago by then so we can afford to stay the night there! hahaha.

It should be nice and we might as well take advantage. Joe will likely be heading back to the big sandbox (Iraq) in the spring or summer 2007 for up to a year. That will surely keep us out of the movie theatre:(

WOW! Thinking, just thinking, about an over night date.... That's what I would love to do for our 5th anniversary in Dec. I am not holding my breath though. I have never spent a night without Megs except for a couple while she was in the hospital. Yes, she is 2 1/2 and I haven't ever gotten her to stay anywhere but home.

By the way, as I am watching my little angel fall asleep on my cool new monitor, we had a seizure free Sunday... so if history repeats itself, next week we are due. Next week my niece gets baptized, so we'll be up early.

I spoke to Meg's PT tonight to set up our next visit and to make sure she was going to bring the order form for the inserts we are getting for her feet. She was devastated to hear that Megs had a walking free week, but very happy that she was walking today. In fact as I was talking to Sue, making supper, and trying to keep my sanity, Megan walked into the kitchen. Without looking up I said "Jack get back in the living room" and Megs (with her crazy sense of humor) said "Jack a booger, NO KITCHEN!" He was no where around... It cracked me up and broke my tension for the moment. So since then I have been singing some Martina McBride... In My Daughter's Eyes... gotta love it.

Thanks, and happy Sunday everyone!
