Hi, my name is Wendy and 2 days before X-mas I was told I have two aneurysm. It is recommended to scan them every 3-6 months, however I am going to go to the University of Penn. to see a neorosergeon. Do they usually treat a 3mm aneurysm. I have a 3mm on my ICA and one 2MM on my communication artery. My family is a mess, as my mom had one and we almost lost her. Is a MRA reliable, what is the best test to confirm they are there? I read so many stories on how not to wait get them treated asap, but then Dr's say to wait.

hi there sorry to hear of ur problems..... i have 5mm annie behind right eye (ica) there is a forum here for aneurysms it will be vrey helpfull to go there each annie is treated differently on a patient to patient basis. ur mom had one rupture so ns might want to try to fix or moniter close. mri/mra is how my annie was found it is quite reliable. go to aneurysm forum.... all the questions and concerns will probably get answers there. all the best to u im really glad u forun this site its good to have people who actually know what ur going through.
