Hi Everyone:

Franky and I thought we better do a "Breeze By," here at "Home Sweet Home." A combination of reasons has kept my posting very minimal unfortunately. However, today is Franky's 3rd Birthday so he deserves all the attention.

Hard to believe this was a little 8 week old Boston Bull Terrier I located over the Internet at rescue up in northern Kansas. We always wonder what happen to his two brothers Tommy and Teddy. It was only a litter of three as Franky was Teddy at that time. I remember when I was told the puppies would be to the small size of Bostons who range from 15 to 25 pounds on average. Guess what, Franky is now 37 pounds but he is almost all muscle. In fact, I've had to go to a #110 pound leash.

People can say whatever they wish but I surely understand why "Dog also spells G-d." I really hope there will be the opportunity to write a memo, article or maybe even a book about Franky and my experiences in regard to my Central Pontine Myelinolysis acquired disease/disorder. When I tell of what Teddy/Franky did the day I met the family at a McDonalds parking lot in St. Joseph, Missouri and drove home with him, it has brought amazing looks as well as comments.

As soon as I arrived at home, I immediately had to take a nap or as a wonderful neurologist said at the EMU while at Johns Hopkins/Kenndy Krieger, (Medical Meca) I had to literally recharge my brain/battery. As I layed down, I set Franky on my king size bed. He first walked the perimiter as its an instinct of this breed and came directly to the back of my neck and head as he began licking right there for a considerable ammount of time.

When this happened I was utterly amazed as it just so happens that CPM is the demyelination of the nerves in your brainstem called the pons. The fact is Franky is very aware to all my pesonal symptoms as a concequence to Central Pontine Myelinolysis. Please take my word it is a fact that animals perception is to much to try to figure.

Anyway, I hope all our friends and viewers who have followed my postings over the last few years have a "Healthier and Meaningful New Year." G-d Bless....
