I goofed - will ths be OK?

I had been on Braintalk for an extensive length of time and was logged in. Did a lot of new threads and responses. Accidently hit the wrong button and got knocked off without logging out. My husband tells me how important it is to log out. So -----now what will happen. Does that mean all my info is out there in cyberspace or something? I am not very computer literate.
I guess I can't correct my error now.

Nothing will happen if you don't log out. I never log out of BrainTalk even though I leave BrainTalk from time to time :)

I find that If I don't log out and just close it, BT remembers me when I come back (click the rmember me box) and I don't have to log back in. I've gotten so used to not having to log in, when I clean my cookies and have to, it is a rare occasion.

Don't worry about it. I never log out of BrainTalk. It's a feature of the software driving these forums (vBulletin) to remember you by placing a small text file on your computer called a cookie (every website you visit does this).

It is important to log out of, for example, a bank's website.
