I gave my dog a CET Dental Reward yesterday morning. I thought it was safe as I got it at the vet's office.
Last night he started vomiting, had several frequent bowel movements. This morning he is straining, but no BMs. Vomited during the night, but none since 5am or so.
Has anyone had any experience with one of these chew bones? Does it sound like he has a blockage?

Oh Barb, your poor doggie, I'd call the vet and see if other people called in about thier dogs getting sick! :(

well, he seems to be a bit better. I gave him a bit of water, but he hasn't had any since. He is alert, not vomiting anymore or ahem the other either, so we will watch him a bit longer.

I'm so glad hes doing better now. Our pets are our family members too! My Aunt in Virginia had a black lab that got hit by a hit and run driver and he died, she was so distraught when that happened, and I was saddened too because he stuck by me like glue whenever I was there. He would lick my hand (the one I can't use) and my Aunt said he did that because he sensed something was wromng and he was trying to "heal" my hand, it was so dear! Sorry I'm rambling but I miss "Kirby" (his name) so much!!

Hi Honey - If your vet is open on Monday, I would definitely check with them. Also, of course, they should know that there is a problem with the product they are selling.
I am not familiar with this treat. Lots of things that we give dogs really aren't that safe for them. The rawhide bones in particular can be very dangerous if the dog doesn't chew it well before swallowing.
I hope he continues to get better. Good luck.
