Kind of seems like a nice place to jump back into this forum after a LONG period of inactivity!! (the forum's, and mine!) Anyway hi everybody! I am so glad to see BT back up. I haven't participated a lot in many months but it's always nice to know it is THERE.

My pain issues are failed back surgery (x3), degenerative disk disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, and APS. So basically, everything hurts all the time:) I am coping fairly well right now, around a level 6-7 at most times. In 2005 I had better pain relief but the drug I was on was intolerable so I "traded down" pain relief to get my brains back!!

Some days are worse than others of course. Today is one. It seems like I can manage my "usual" pain but don't add on anything ELSE, you know? Tonight my right heel of all things is killing me to walk on. It gets inflamed for some unknown reason every few weeks and feels all bruised. I just do not deal with "extra" pain well.

Well, just wanted to say hey to everyone. I hope you all are having a "good as it gets" night, or better!!

I am the same as you - one more or different pain can just throw my whole day off. It's almost like, what now???? We sound like we share MANY of the same diagnoses. Do you take medications alone or do you do some type of physical theraphy? Are you still able to work? I haven't been since April 12, 2005. Weird how I remember the exact date. Can you tell i loved my job.
Sheila, it is great to be back to Braintalk, and I hope to get to know you better.

Take care,
Kathy

Yeah, I am on medications alone at this point. I just went thru 5 weeks of PT for a knee injury and that was near impossible - everything they wanted me to do for my knee hurt my back! Sheesh. I keep threatening to try water therapy someday. If only I can get things stable enough for long enough... LOL.

I remember the last day I worked too, almost 9 years ago now. I adored my job also. I really believe I have had a lot of opportunities to grow as a person since becoming disabled too - but it was definitely a process accepting the change!

Nice to meet you too! Have a good night!
