Hi,
This is my first post in this section of the forums, but I have Cerebral Palsy (right hemiplegia) and I really would like to be able to cook for myself. I am more than capable of learning, but I would need some different types of cutting/chopping tools than are available in stores. Are there any websites where I could purchase special tools to help with this aspect of cooking? Thanks.

Yes, there are websites with aids for the disabled, and I am all in favor of them.
Yet, there are a few things that you can devise that are much cheaper.
Hardware stores are your friend.
1.Many things can be cut up for you at the grocery store.
2. For things that can't be cut up for you ,consider using a good pair of scissors for cutting things (Think something like Fiskers scissors ,though any good sewing store or hardware store will have something like them--and perhaps cheaper.)
3. Anyone who thinks that you should cut things finely is nutty.
4. Buy shelf liner ((hardware store) to put below unbreakable mixing bowls. It will stabilize the bowl, allowing you to stir with one hand.
5. Cook on back burners, making very certain that the handles are turned in. Or better still use a microwave.
6. For eating, I have some Corelle Winter Frost (white) flat dishes with rims. ( they're kinda like plates, kinda like shallow bowls.) They are great. Covered plastic dishes may be your solution....especially if you have to carry a dish to your eating place.

And here's a link for more kitchen cooking disability equipment. There are many more sites. very possibly better ones.

That, Kelly, was a very good question. Thank you for asking it.
